Spray Foam Material — Insulation & Coatings

In short: we manufacture two-component spray-applied polyurethane systems — closed-cell insulation (λ ≤23–24 mW/(m·K)), ultra-light open-cell foam (9–11 kg/m³, sound absorption 0.43), spray polyurea coatings and slab-lifting foam. Available HFO and 100% water-blown for regulated markets. Blended in our own plant in China since 2010.

What Is Spray Polyurethane Foam?

Spray polyurethane foam is applied on site: a blended polyol (component A) and an isocyanate (component B) are metered 1:1 by volume through a heated rig, mixed at the gun, and expand in place within seconds. Because it forms against the substrate, it seals gaps and penetrations that boards and batts leave open.

The one decision that drives everything else is open cell or closed cell: closed-cell foam is denser, insulates more per inch and acts as a vapour barrier; open-cell foam is ultra-light, breathable and absorbs sound.

Key Applications of Our Spray Foam Materials

Building & Wall Insulation

Sprayed in place, the foam fills every cavity and seals air leaks in one pass — no cut-and-fit, no gaps at the studs.

  • Closed-cell (SPC-10072): λ ≤24 mW/(m·K) with ≥90% closed cells — maximum R per inch, plus a vapour barrier.
  • Open-cell (SPC-10071): ultra-light 9–11 kg/m³, breathable, and a sound-absorption rating of 0.43 — the choice for interior walls and partitions.
  • Structural bonus: closed-cell foam stiffens the assembly it is sprayed into.

Roofing

A seamless sprayed roof has no laps or fasteners to leak, and it can be applied straight over most existing roofs.

  • Self-flashing: the foam conforms around penetrations, curbs and drains.
  • Insulate + waterproof in one system: closed-cell foam for the thermal layer, then a SPC-1031 polyurea topcoat for UV and traffic protection.
  • Lightweight: adds insulation without meaningful dead load.

Protective Coatings & Waterproofing

SPC-1031 is a two-component spray polyurea — an elastomeric membrane rather than a foam.

  • Fast set: gel in about 20 seconds, so it builds on vertical surfaces and returns to service quickly.
  • Tough and elastic: tensile 18–23 MPa, elongation 375–510%, Shore A85–95 — it bridges cracks instead of splitting.
  • Where it goes: bridges, roofs, tanks, secondary containment and water works.

Agricultural & Livestock Buildings

A closed-cell spray coating insulates and waterproofs a poultry house or barn in a single layer.

  • Stable temperature: keeps the house within range and cuts heating and ventilation cost.
  • Washdown-durable: the closed-cell surface resists moisture rather than soaking it up.
  • Also used for: livestock barns and greenhouses.

Slab Lifting & Void Filling

Our closed-cell slab-lifting foam raises settled concrete by expanding underneath it.

  • Lifts in minutes: injected through small holes; the slab is back in service the same day.
  • Density ≥30 kg/m³: carries the load and will not wash out — it is waterproof.
  • Where it goes: driveways, pool decks, warehouse and industrial floors.

Blowing Agents: Choose the Compliant Route

Which blowing agent you can use depends on where you sell. We supply all four routes and will tell you which one fits your market.

HFO — Zero ODP, low GWP

The compliant route for regulated markets, and the best lambda we offer (≤23 mW/(m·K)).

100% water-blown — Zero ODP

Open-cell SPC-10071 — no chemical blowing agent at all, just water.

HFC-245fa — Zero ODP, high GWP

Closed-cell SPC-10072. Still permitted in many markets, but being phased down in the US and EU.

HCFC-141b — Being phased out

Legacy grade — we supply it only where it is still permitted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Open-cell or closed-cell — which do I need?
Closed-cell (SPC-10072) if you need maximum insulation per inch, a vapour barrier and structural stiffness: λ ≤24 mW/(m·K), ≥90% closed cells, compressive strength ≥140 kPa. Open-cell (SPC-10071) if you need light weight, breathability and sound control: 9–11 kg/m³ and a sound-absorption rating of 0.43.
Which blowing agents do you offer for spray foam?
Four routes: HFO (zero ODP, low GWP — best lambda at ≤23 mW/(m·K)), 100% water-blown (open-cell, zero ODP), HFC-245fa (closed-cell, zero ODP but high GWP), and legacy HCFC-141b only for markets where it is still permitted. For the EU and North America we recommend the HFO or water-blown routes.
What machine settings do your spray systems need?
Typical for our closed-cell systems: hose and primary heater at 45–60°C, static pressure 1200–1700 psi, dynamic pressure 1100 psi minimum, ambient 0–50°C. Mixing ratio is 1:1 by volume. Exact settings depend on the grade and your rig — the full TDS lists them.
Is spray polyurea the same as spray foam?
No. SPC-1031 polyurea is an elastomeric coating, not a foam — it does not insulate, it protects. It gels in about 20 seconds and cures to tensile 18–23 MPa with 375–510% elongation. It is often sprayed over foam as the weather and wear layer.
What is your minimum order quantity?
From 10 kg for custom formulation trials, so you can validate the system on your own rig before scaling to bulk.
Can I get the TDS, MSDS and a free sample?
Yes — both on request with no login wall. Tell us the application, target density and volume and we reply within 24 hours.
