High-Resilience Foam for Compressible Sofas

SPC-1009-S is a high-resilience (HR / high-rebound) polyol system for foam used in compressible sofas and seating. Its high resilience (ball rebound ≥ 45%) lets finished sofas and cushions be vacuum-compressed and roll-packed for low-cost shipping, then spring back to full shape and firmness when unpacked. Buoyant, supportive and durable — a two-component blended-polyol system with density and firmness adjustable to your design.

Key Features

Compressible & roll-packable
High resilience lets sofas be vacuum-compressed for flat-pack shipping and recover full shape on unpacking.
Lower shipping cost
Roll-packed sofas cut container volume dramatically versus shipping fully assembled.
High rebound & support
Ball rebound ≥ 45% with 25% ILD ≥ 120 N for a buoyant, well-supported seat.
Outstanding durability
65% compression set ≤ 8% — cushions resist sagging after compression and years of use.
High comfort factor (≥ 2.8)
An excellent balance of surface softness and deep support.
Good air permeability
Open structure breathes well for comfortable, cool seating.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can sofas made from this foam really be compressed for shipping?Yes. High-resilience foam can be vacuum-compressed and roll-packed; thanks to its high rebound and low compression set it springs back to full shape and firmness after unpacking.
Is this the same as memory foam? No. This is HR (high-resilience) foam — it springs back fast and feels supportive. Memory foam recovers slowly; it is offered as a separate grade.
Can firmness be customised per cushion?Yes. Density (typically 40–45 kg/m³) and firmness (25% ILD ≥ 120 N) are tunable by formulation for seat, back and arm cushions.
Do you supply raw material or finished sofas? Our core product is the HR foam raw-material system; we also offer matched foaming machines and process support so you can produce cushions in-house. We reply within 24 hours.
