PU Elastomer for Industrial Wheels & Load Rollers

Cast PU elastomer system for industrial wheels and load rollers — high load capacity, abrasion resistance and low rolling resistance.

High-performance cast polyurethane elastomer systems for industrial wheels and load-bearing rollers — forklift & pallet-truck wheels, caster wheels, AGV wheels, guide wheels and conveyor/drive rollers. Engineered for high abrasion resistance, high load capacity and excellent resilience under continuous load cycling. We supply both hot-cast TDI (MOCA / HQEE) and cold-cast MDI systems, with hardness and rebound tuned to your duty.

Key Features

Excellent abrasion resistance
DIN 53516 abrasion loss as low as 30 mm³ (hot-cast TDI) for long wheel life.
High load capacity
Heavy industrial wheels and high-pressure rollers up to 30 MPa sustained compressive load.
Adjustable hardness
From soft (Shore A 60) to ultra-hard roller systems (Shore D 75) in one product family.
Strong dynamic performance
Stable rebound and deformation resistance — tested through 1 million cycles with < 5% strength loss.
Hydrolysis & chemical resistance
Polyether variants retain ≥ 90% strength after 1,000 h at 50 °C / 95% RH.
Hot-cast & cold-cast systems
TDI (MOCA/HQEE) for top mechanicals; MDI for easier, lower-toxicity casting. Customizable.

Hot-Cast vs Cold-Cast Systems

Hot-Cast TDI (MOCA / HQEE)
Top mechanical properties — highest abrasion resistance, load capacity and dynamic performance for heavy-duty wheels.
Cold-Cast MDI Prepolymer
Easier, lower-toxicity processing for general wheels & rollers; optimized viscosity (1,500–3,500 cps at 80 °C) for smooth casting and demoulding.

Casting Processes

Centrifugal Casting
Uniform-density covers for wheels and cylindrical rollers.
Open-Mold Casting
For large wheels and simple-geometry parts.
Vacuum Casting
Void-free covers for precision and high-load wheels.
Automated Casting
Compatible with PU casting machines and automated metering.

Packaging, Storage & Handling

Packaging
Prepolymer and curative supplied in iron drums; palletised for export. Bulk on request.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hot-cast (TDI) or cold-cast (MDI) for wheels?Hot-cast TDI with MOCA/HQEE gives the best abrasion resistance and load capacity for heavy-duty wheels; cold-cast MDI is easier, lower-toxicity casting for general wheels and rollers. We recommend based on load and volume.
What hardness for forklift/AGV wheels?Typically Shore A 85–95 for high-load forklift and AGV wheels; softer grades for quiet, floor-friendly casters. Tuned via prepolymer NCO and chain-extender ratio.
How is the wheel bonded to the metal/plastic core? The PU is cast directly onto a primed core for a strong chemical + mechanical bond; we advise on core preparation and primer.
Can the formulation be customized?Yes. Hardness, rebound, abrasion and processing are all customizable. OEM/ODM supported — request a TDS, MSDS and sample; we reply within 24 hours.
