Automotive Integral-Skin PU for Dashboards, Headrests & Interior Trim

Self-skinning integral-skin PU for automotive interiors — instrument panels, dashboards, headrests, steering wheels & door pulls. Leather-look skin (1000-1200 kg/m3) over a soft core in one shot.

A self-skinning (integral-skin) polyurethane system engineered for automotive interior trim — instrument panels / dashboards, headrests, steering wheels, gear knobs, door pulls and grab handles. Integral-skin PU forms a dense, genuine-leather-look outer skin (skin density ~1000–1200 kg/m³, skin thickness up to ~2.3 mm) over a soft cellular core in a single mould shot — no PVC/ABS facing needed. The result is a luxurious touch, excellent abrasion resistance and easy cleaning for car interiors.

Why Integral-Skin PU for Car Interiors

Genuine-leather appearance
Clear grain texture and a smooth, premium touch that lifts the perceived quality of any cabin.
One-shot skin + core
Dense outer skin and soft core form together — unlike ABS/PVC-faced semi-rigid foam, no separate cover.
Abrasion & UV durable
Withstands years of touch, friction and sunlight without scratching, scuffing or fading.
Easy to clean
The smooth skin wipes clean with a soft cloth — ideal for high-touch dashboard and door parts.
Soft-touch comfort & NVH
The cushioned core gives a warm grip and helps damp rattles and noise.
Custom colour & grain
In-mould colour and grain options to match any OE interior. OEM/ODM.

Foam-in-place around steel frames and rods for headrests, steering wheels and handles.
Two-Component System
Polyol : isocyanate = 100 : 42–45 by weight.
Machine Compatible
Runs on low- and high-pressure PU foaming machines.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is integral-skin different from ABS/PVC-faced foam?Integral-skin PU forms its own dense leather-look skin and soft core in one shot — no separate ABS or PVC surface layer, so there is nothing to delaminate.
What car parts is it used for?Instrument panels / dashboards, headrests, steering wheels, gear knobs, door pulls, grab handles, centre consoles and other soft-touch cabin trim.
Can colour and grain be matched to our OE spec?Yes. In-mould colour and grained moulds reproduce your required leather grain and shade; density and feel are tunable.
Is it a finished part or a raw material? It is a two-component raw-material system (polyol + isocyanate). Moulded, it self-skins into finished interior parts.
