Cyclopentane Rigid PU Foam Polyol for Insulated Sandwich Panels

Cyclopentane-blown rigid PU foam polyol for insulated sandwich panels — low density and excellent thermal insulation.

This is the cyclopentane-blown grade of our two-component rigid polyurethane foam (SKU: SPC-10062-CP), developed for insulated sandwich panels with the best thermal performance. The cyclopentane system delivers a lightweight, lower-density core (30–43 kg/m³) with low thermal conductivity (λ ≤ 0.02 W/(m·K)) and a high closed-cell content — ideal for energy-efficient wall, roof and cold-room panels. Need a higher-density, high-strength grade? See our water-blown SPC-10062-W.

Key Features

Best-in-class thermal insulation
Cyclopentane blowing gives λ ≤ 0.02 W/(m·K) for energy-efficient panels.
Lightweight, low-density core
30–43 kg/m³ reduces panel weight and material cost.
High closed-cell content
≥ 90% (up to 97%) for strong insulation and moisture resistance.
Good flowability & adhesion
Even density across the panel cross-section; strong bond to facings. 1:1 mixing ratio.
Adjustable flame retardancy
Standard B1 fire rating, customizable to your market on request.
Eco-friendly blowing agent
Cyclopentane is a zero-ODP, low-GWP blowing agent. OEM/ODM supported.

Processing & How to Use

1

Condition
Bring both components to a stable working temperature before mixing.

2

Mix
Combine component A and B at a 1:1 ratio by weight with isocyanate (MDI), using low- or high-pressure equipment.

3

Pour / Inject
Dispense into the panel mould or continuous line; maintain a mould surface temperature of about 40 °C.

4

Cure & Demould
Cure in the mould per panel thickness, then demould for a uniform, well-bonded core.

Packaging, Storage & Handling

Packaging
Polyol in 200 kg net iron drums; MDI in 250 kg drums. Palletised for export; bulk on request.
Storage
Moisture-proof, ventilated, sealed storage, away from heat and ignition sources (cyclopentane is flammable). Shelf life 6 months.
Handling & Safety
Avoid eye/skin contact; wear safety glasses. Wash skin with soap and water; flush eyes with water and seek medical attention. Full MSDS on request.

What a Bulk Delivery Looks Like

Pallets of blue SPC-10062 polyol drums and red MDI drums unloaded from a 20-ft container at a North American panel producer

SPC-10062 landing in North America. Blue polyol drums and red MDI drums on pallets, unloaded from a 20-ft container at a customer who uses this panel system to build insulated mushroom-growing houses.

Every pallet is shrink-wrapped and strapped, with GHS labels and batch numbers on each drum, so the material arrives traceable to its Certificate of Analysis.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the cyclopentane and water-blown grades? The cyclopentane SPC-10062-CP is lower density (30–43 kg/m³) for the best thermal insulation, while the water-blown SPC-10062-W reaches a higher density (80–120 kg/m³) for greater strength and sound insulation.
What is the A:B mixing ratio?A simple 1:1 ratio by weight, for easy, reliable metering on continuous panel lines.
What flame-retardant grade does it meet? The standard grade meets a B1 fire rating, adjustable to suit your target market’s regulations.
What is the minimum order quantity?Orders start from just 10 kg, ideal for trial runs and line validation, with tiered lead times for bulk volumes.
Can the formulation be customized?Yes. Density and reactivity can be tuned to your line and panel specification. OEM/ODM supported — request a TDS, MSDS and free sample; we reply within 24 hours.
